Celina Brás studied History, specializing in Art History, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. She completed the Arts Administration Program at Columbia University, New York, under the coordination of Joan Jeffri. Among her many seminars, the most notable is “What Economy, What Art, What Culture, What Value(s)?” by Arjo Klamer from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and Jack Amariglio from Merrimack College, US. She has managed several cultural projects in the area of performing arts. She founded Casa Conveniente with Mónica Calle, Álvaro Correia, and Luís Fonseca. She has developed work proposals on the formation of new audiences. She is the founder, director, and editor of the magazine Contemporânea since 2015, where she edits, directs, and coordinates all the monthly digital editions and thematic printed editions. She was recently artistic director, programmer, and editor of the project Contemporânea Film(e) and is currently part of the Atlantic project. She lives and works in Lisbon.
