I’m July, a 42-year-old woman living in Spain, where my journey has taken me through the worlds of journalism, sociology, and creativity. My love for words and art started with DIY fanzines, printed in local shops or photocopied, distributed in specialized stores—or sometimes handed out on the streets, a nod to urban art experiments.
My Journey
Professionally, I’ve wandered through the fast-paced corridors of startups, tech consulting, and entrepreneurship. My longest chapter wascreating and leading adirect-to-consumer footwear brand, blending digital sales with more traditional distribution channels like retail stores and wholesale.
The Vision
Now, I’m turning my focus to a lifelong passion—experimental and artistic publishing. Armed with expertise in brand creation, e-commerce, and guerrilla marketing, I’m driven by a desire to connect people with something real and valuable—bridging creators with those eager for their stories.
The Project
Singular Papers is a bootstrapped labor of love—built on my own hustle and a tight-knit crew of collaborators. No venture capital, just raw passion and determination. The goal? Grow into a small, independent team that pushes the boundaries of indie publishing. So that's why I'm building a platform to discover the finest independent and experimental publishing—artist books, fanzines, books, and magazines that inspire and provoke.
