In the sixth issue of [kon], we show that INTOXICATION can still do much more than just a hangover: from beer mat poetry and portrayals of intoxication in current TV series to excerpts from wild 44-hour performances and long-lost demo singles of short-lived punk rock bands – from the snow flicker in Adalbert Stifter’s work to the absolute love frenzy of Bonnie and Clyde, we left no form of intoxication untouched in our #6. Following the 'rûsch,' we make text categories dance in the black-and-white static of old tube TVs and invite readers to the finest reading frenzy.

About — In every issue of kon Paper, [kon]notations, [kon]texts and [kon]troversies are investigated, while experimenting and exploring the intersections and boundaries between text and design, between content and form.

How poetic can academic and journalistic writing become? How might poetry shift into the journalistic when published in a newspaper? And what new ways of reading can be established when essay, poem and column converge?
