Animabilia is an exploration of the role of aesthetics in the relationship with animals. Over ten visual stories trace the modes of this sublimation: through a collection of images involving naturalistic subjects such as taxidermies, dioramas, zoos, and tropical houses, Animabilia outlines the expressions of this fascination, focusing on ancient practices that find contemporary translation today.
