In the debut issue of Dàme, the focus was on the belly, but this second edition shifts its attention to the legs. Within the pages of Dàme 02, not only is the diversity of our legs showcased, with cellulite, prostheses, or varicose veins, but also related themes are addressed, such as hair removal, the objectification of the body, gender fluidity, and mental health.

Legs serve as a metaphor for a journey, direction, and, due to their ability to interlace, a symbol of choice - we decide which other pair to stand beside ours. Legs can also reveal a lot about a person: scars, hair, and stretch marks show the constant evolution of our daily existence. Moreover, in a society that does everything to censor the self-determination of women and teaches us, from a young age, to keep our legs closed, open legs are considered an expression of sexual freedom, as if there were a right or wrong way to live it. Therefore, we deemed it essential to make legs the focus of the second edition to initiate a conversation about the concept that undermines the value of women, as if we could only achieve personal and professional goals by "opening our legs."

The publication also features contributions from figures such as Bellamy Ogak, a racial justice activist, cultural creator, and co-founder of Afroitalian Souls, Ambra Sabatini, a world champion Paralympic sprinter in the 100 meters, and Farida Kant, a drag artist, performer, and finalist of Drag Race Italia S1.

Dàme Edition 02 was made in collaboration with and with the support of ADAM, the Eating Disorders Association of Mestre, an organization dedicated to information, awareness, and prevention of eating disorders in Italy.
