Die Anonyme Liebe is an address to love itself: an anthology of new and largely non-native German texts exploring unusual facets of love and anonymity. The poems read like unfinished reflections and uncensored chains of thoughts - whether about children's power games, success or the duration of exile. Their beauty lies in a directness that perhaps only anonymity allows, as if the anonymous authors had brought forth what lies dormant beneath the surface of the sayable to describe moments that were meant to remain undiscovered. die anonyme Liebe is about what is on the tip of our tongue but which we swallow.
The anthology was written over the summer of 2019 by The Anonymous Writing Group during meetings in Wedding at Sommerbad Humboldthain pool by invitation of TROPEZ as well as a handful of other locations in Berlin. It contains contributions by Billy Miles, Elisabeth Wood, Hanna Fiegenbaum, Jack Randol, Jaime Heather Schwarz, Manuel Stotzka, Masha Vedro, Melone, Pompiis, Rena Lermöhe, Sasha and SHAI and was edited by Elisabeth Wood, who started The Anonymous Writing Group in 2015 as a side project of collective authorship linked to The Gray Voice Ensemble. The Gray Voice Ensemble is a community choir in Berlin, founded and directed by Elisabeth Wood.
