Fantasmita eres pegamento explores the social dimension of dreams, myth, fantasy, faith, and the world of childhood. The rare and expansive fertility of these realms serves as a starting point to explore ways of dealing with trauma, understanding the relationship with the body and death, and contemplating the emergence of a queer fertility. Its focus on repetitive structures—many drawn from oral traditions, lullabies, and religious rituals—invites us to reconsider how seriality and accumulation can generate meaning beyond the linguistic frameworks we typically use.
Leticia Ybarra (Madrid, 1991) is a poet whose practice spans writing, visual creation, and curating. She is part of the Gear With Petals study program at Hangar (Barcelona) and co-founded the poetry project Juf with Beatriz Ortega Botas. Her recent work has been exhibited in Lifting Belly (CentroCentro, 2020), this light, toxic (Intersticio, London, 2020), pen pressure: a show of poetry, fantasy and faith (Yaby, Vienna, 2020), and in Pfeil Magazine (2021) and This is Jackalope (2019). At La Casa Encendida, she curated the Gelatina festival and the Atravesar el bosque encantado series.
