Stories is an exhibition within an exhibition. It offers a different way of visiting an art show, one that alters the conventional logic of the location of the work, the space and the spectator. Inside a display structure, a convey or belt carries a series of sculptures past visitors who, standing before windows, can record what they see without changing their position.
The pieces, designed to be read in a linear way, are independent works that connect traditional genres and media with digital image processing methods while simultaneously interacting with the display architecture in which they are exhibited.
With this book, artist Almudena Lobera completes her Stories exhibition project, in which she critically and ironically re-enacts the mechanisms of consumption and communication that dominate our world today.
With texts by Agustín Fernández Mallo, Fernando Castro Flórez, Isabel Abascal, Tiago de Abreu Pinto, Alfredo Aracil, Alicia Grueso, Emma Brasó, Abel Hernández, LANZA Atelier, María Regina Pérez Castillo, Yann Leto, Dalia de la Rosa, Nacho Ruiz, Nicola Mariani, Amanda Núñez, Cinta Tabuenca, Chus Tudelilla, Luis Francisco Pérez and Cristina Garrido.
