This zine serves as a metaphor for the transition to a state of potential immigration, depicting a plant's struggle to take root in foreign soil. The project consists of a poem in prose written by me and shots captured by the photographer. It explores the concept of a person remaining in a perpetual state of transition throughout their entire life, from birth and the pain of detachment from the umbilical cord to the anticipation of significant changes and eventually, death. 

The product has vacuum packaging with a dehydrated rose. Some delivery services restrict sending such plants abroad.

About — Since 2023, I became a self-publisher. My first work is “Transition State: to the Flowers” zine, depicting the transitional states between two individuals from Ukraine and Rome caused by the war. My second work, “Tooth,” is a metaphor for deviant behavior inherent in all humans. It resembles a spiral as braces and an accordion as a jaw.

I am exploring new printing methods and technologies to convey ideas as a publisher. It’s not just about the text but also how it is crafted.
