"Tutto è Archivio. Nulla è Archivio" (Everything is Archive. Nothing is Archive) is the account of a multi-year research project on the theme of the archive and the cinema that draws its material from it -here defined as "second-hand cinema"- carried out by the Associazione L'Ambulante (Gaetano Crivaro and Margherita Pisano). Started in 2014 as an object of individual research, around the most popular aspects of the festival of Sant'Efisio in Cagliari, it continued from year to year, almost like an obsession, until it involved about ten people who, by disassembling and reassembling archival images from the Cineteca Sarda and some private funds, created a "collective film" called "Rondò FInal". This fluid constellation, which has given itself the name Assembly of Montage, has contributed to developing a discussion on the role of icons in the formation of local political power through the centuries, on the relationship between city and country, between power and faith, between war and labour.
